We recommend beginning your communications with our admissions team as soon as possible, to receive your earliest prioritization for enrollment openings and waitlists. 

To be considered for admissions:
  • Please communicate with a member of our admissions team to schedule a phone call and/or tour. Tours can be scheduled in person, or via video chat (Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
  • Contact a member of our admissions team to gain access to our parent portal to begin the application process.
  • Submit the appropriate admissions documents (depending on age).
  • Register for and complete admissions testing.
  • Visit/Shadow Day or interview (if applicable).

We believe that curiosity, creativity, independence, cooperation, and persistence enhance early learning and development. Our Pre-K curriculum promotes social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development in a safe and nurturing environment. 

Steps Toward Admission: Pre-K2 – Pre-K4

Preschool (starting at age 2) through Kindergarten admission is based on a birthdate of Septemeber 1st. Students will be placed in PreK-2, PreK-3, and PreK-4 based on the age they turn during that calendar year. 

The following instructions will help guide you through your child’s application process.  The staff of the Admissions Office is available to answer any questions you may have to help you through this process.

  1. Submit a Request For Information to schedule a visit of our campus, or schedule a telephone conversation with our admissions office. This ensures your request will be handled as quickly as possible. 
  2. Visit the Rancho Solano Preparatory Lower School Campus 
  3. Submit an Online Application
    • When filling out the application you will need to complete and submit/upload the following:
      • Copy of birth certificate (required)
      • Copy of immunization records (required)
      • Arizona Department of Health paperwork
      • Current standardized test scores (where applicable)

After those steps have been taken, our admissions team will evaluate each candidate based on the application, the candidate’s school record, teacher recommendations, interviews and academic testing.

Elementary school at Rancho Solano provides students with a firm foundation in the core curriculum including humanities, language arts, foreign language, social studies, math, and science. Students are also instructed and guided on how to organize and manage their time. Activities develop research, note-taking and outlining skills in preparation for our rigorous Middle School curriculum. Students learn to work independently and in groups. 

Steps Toward Admission: Kindergarten-5th

The following instructions will help guide you through your child’s application process.  The staff of the Admissions Office is available to answer any questions you may have to help you through this process.

  1. Submit a Request For Information to schedule a visit of our campus, or schedule a telephone conversation with our admissions office. This ensures your request will be handled as quickly as possible. 
  2. Visit the Rancho Solano Preparatory School Campus 
  3. Submit an Online Application
    • When filling out the application you will need to complete and submit/upload the following:
      • Copy of birth certificate (required)
      • Current and past year grade report or transcript (where applicable)
      • Current standardized test scores (where applicable) 
  4. Admissions Testing
    • Kindergarten-5th Grade testing – Upon receipt of the completed application and required forms, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule an appointment.
  5. Participate in a Shadow Day (Grades 1st- 5th)
    • In addition to getting to know the student during the interview and application process, we recommend that students participate in a Shadow Day.  This gives students an opportunity to experience what a typical day is like at the Rancho Solano Preparatory School campus they are applying to. 

After those steps have been taken, our admissions team will evaluate each candidate based on the application, the candidate’s school record, teacher recommendations, interviews and academic testing.

Rancho Solano students enter sixth grade as children and complete eighth grade taking their first steps to becoming responsible young adults. We offer academically-demanding classes and give students the personalized skills and tools they need to accomplish their goals. 

Steps Toward Admission: Grades 6-8

The following instructions will help guide you through your child’s application process.  The staff of the Admissions Office is available to answer any questions you may have to help you through this process.

  1. Submit a Request For Information to schedule a visit of our campus, or schedule a telephone conversation with our admissions office. This ensures your request will be handled as quickly as possible. 
  2. Visit the Rancho Solano Middle School Campus 
  3. Submit an Online Application
    • When filling out the application you will need to complete and submit/upload the following:
      • Copy of birth certificate (required)
      • Current and past 2 years’ grade report or transcript
      • Current standardized test scores
      • Writing sample 
      • Immunization records
  4. Submit required academic forms
    • You will also be required to download and submit the following forms to your child’s current school for completion:
      • Completed/signed Parent Authorization for Release of Records Form
      • Head of School or School Counselor Recommendation Form
      • Math and English Teacher Recommendation Forms
    • You will have access to these forms during the online application process.  When giving these forms to your student’s current school, please request that these completed and signed forms are submitted directly to Rancho Solano Preparatory School either via email or mailed directly to the campus you are applying to. Forms can be emailed directly to Kaitlyn Myzwinski (kmyzwinski@ranchosolano.com) or the Upper School Campus.
  5. Admissions Testing
    • Rancho Solano accepts the ISEE standardized admissions tests for Middle and Upper school.  Our Admissions Department can help families schedule the ISEE.

  6. Participate in a Shadow Day
    • We strongly encourage all students to participate in a Shadow Day at Rancho Solano. This gives students an opportunity to experience what a typical day is like at the campus they are applying to.

Our college preparatory curriculum emphasizes critical thinking and is brought to life in a student-centered environment. Students engage with other students from around the world via this challenging and inquiry-based curriculum that prepares them for this ever-changing world.

  2. Visit the Rancho Solano Upper School Campus 
  3. Submit an Online Application
    • When filling out the application you will need to complete and submit/upload the following:
      • Copy of birth certificate (required)
      • Current and past 2 years’ grade report or transcript
      • Current standardized test scores
      • Writing sample
      • Immunization records
  4. Submit required academic forms
    • If your child is currently receiving schooling, you will also be required to download and submit the following forms to your child’s current school for completion:
      • Completed/signed Parent Authorization for Release of Records Form
      • 9th-12th – Math, English and Head of School/Principal Recommendation Forms
    • Forms can be emailed directly to Kaitlyn Myzwinski (kmyzwinski@ranchosolano.com) or the Upper School Campus.
  5. Admissions Testing
    • Rancho Solano accepts the ISEE standardized admissions tests for Middle and Upper school.  Our Admissions Department can help families schedule the ISEE.

    • Transfer students in 10th-12th grade may submit their PSAT scores in lieu of the ISEE.
